In 2013-14, a group of undergraduate students conceived of reviving the then-defunct The Princeton Progressive, which would be Princeton University’s only left-leaning student political publication. The students involved wanted to ensure that progressive voices are heard at Princeton, to provide an alternative to the right-leaning Princeton Tory, and to build a network of left-leaning student organizations, ultimately providing a platform for their voices and causes. The magazine is now called the Prog. See their website, and an archive of back issues, here.
PPro fully supported the first five issues, appearing in academic 2014-15, and since then have been supporting in part later issues. The students have succeeded in obtaining outside support which enables them, at least for now, to continue to publish without the need for full support from PPro. But when some need re-arises, we have been continuing to solicit contributions so that we can help them out.
